Question 1

What is tecbu?

Accepted Answer

tecbu is an automated shift callout and coverage system for home care agencies. When a caregiver can't make their shift, tecbu instantly notifies qualified replacements via SMS and assigns the shift to the first one who accepts.

Question 2

Do my caregivers need to download an app?

Accepted Answer

No. tecbu works entirely via SMS. Caregivers receive a text message, reply YES to claim a shift, and get confirmation. No app, no login, no training.

Question 3

How is this different from Clipboard Health or ShiftKey?

Accepted Answer

Those platforms supply external gig workers to facilities. tecbu fills shifts from your own staff — your caregivers, your clients, your control. No worker classification risk, no markup on labor.

Question 4

Is tecbu HIPAA compliant?

Accepted Answer

Yes. tecbu uses two-stage information disclosure. Before a caregiver claims a shift, they only see the date, time, and general area. Full client details are shared only after confirmation.

Question 5

How fast can a shift get filled?

Accepted Answer

Shifts can be filled in minutes. SMS has a 98% open rate and caregivers can respond instantly from any phone.

Question 6

What does tecbu cost?

Accepted Answer

We'll walk you through exact pricing after your demo, based on your agency size, callout volume, and rollout needs.

Question 7

Why do I need to qualify?

Accepted Answer

We onboard deliberately so every agency gets a focused setup and rollout. The quiz takes about 60 seconds and helps us confirm tecbu is genuinely a fit for your agency.

Question 8

What happens after I qualify?

Accepted Answer

You'll get an instant login to a live demo of the tecbu dashboard — no calendar booking required. From there you can explore on your own, or book a 20-minute call to walk through it together.

Question 9

What size agency is tecbu for?

Accepted Answer

tecbu is built for small-to-mid-size home care agencies with 10 to 500 caregivers. If you're currently using a phone tree or group text to fill callouts, tecbu is a direct upgrade.

Question 10

How long does it take to set up?

Accepted Answer

You can be live within days. We handle the setup, import your caregiver list, and walk you through launch.
